The pathologist cannot easily decide some thyroid fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNA) into the benign, suspicious, or malignity and this condition are reported as ‘atypia of undetermined significance’ (AUS) or ‘follicular lesion of undetermined significance’ in the Bethesda system.
